The DAOL focuses on Engineering Service Systems, with specific focus on supply chain and healthcare systems engineering. We have been awarded over $1.7 million in grants and contracts from agencies such as the NSF, the VA, the State of Ohio, local industries, and WSU. This has helped us develop cutting-edge solutions to real-world challenges using advanced data analytics, predictive modeling, simulation, and optimization approaches.
Dr. Parikh, the lab director, received the WSU President’s Award for Faculty Excellence (2014), the College Early Career Achievement  (2014), and the College Outstanding Faculty Award (2016). He was also awarded the Outstanding Advisor of the Year award by IISE (Great Lakes Region) and Advisor of the Year award from WSU (see Media below) .
The lab’s undergraduate and graduate student members have been honored on numerous occasions, including Best Track Paper Award at ISERC (twice), nationally competitive IISE and MHEFI Scholarships, Graduate Student Excellence Award (5 times), University Research Assistantship, Department Scholarship, Outstanding Students, and Chair’s Choice Award (see Media below).
