The DAOL focuses on Engineering Service Systems, with applications in supply chain and healthcare. Our team has been collaborating on nearly $2.2 million in grants and contracts from the NSF, the VHA, the State of Ohio, and local industries. This has helped us develop cutting-edge solutions to real-world challenges using advanced data analytics, predictive modeling, simulation, and optimization approaches.
Dr. Parikh, the lab director, received the WSU President’s Award for Faculty Excellence (2014), the College Early Career Achievement (2014), the College Outstanding Faculty Award (2016), and the Affiliate Societies Council’s Outstanding Engineers and Scientist Award (2017). He was also awarded the Outstanding Advisor of the Year award (IISE, Great Lakes Region) and Advisor of the Year award (WSU).
The lab’s undergraduate and graduate student members have been honored on numerous occasions, including Best Track Paper Award at IISE Annual (3 times), nationally competitive IISE and MHEFI Scholarships, Graduate Student Excellence Award (once for PhD, 5 times for MS), University Research Assistantships, Department Scholarships, Outstanding Students, and Chair’s Choice Award. We welcome you to learn about our team, research, and accomplishments!
